The book not only teaches but strongly emphasizes that despite our differences, we all can and will be loved by others.
About the Author
Kim Ely Morris lives with her husband and two children in northwest North Carolina in the town otherwise known as Mayberry. She has worked in the elementary education field over a decade. Her inspiration for this children’s book comes from the eye disease with which she was diagnosed over fifteen years ago. This incurable, rather mysterious disease called “Ocular Histoplasmosis” has left her with low vision.
Her job during the last several years has been ttutoring first graders in reading and helping them to achieve grade level proficiency. Overcoming the obstacles she faces because of this disease has allowed her to continue to work with children in the capacity that she holds dear.
Kim dedicates this book to the many people who courageously live every day with little or no vision.
