About the Book

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

These verses are Gods messages to you through me.  I hope that they will inspire, instruct, direct, encourage and enlighten you.

God has spoken to me in strange places and odd times and told me to write.  For example; Almost Home was written while I was on a bus going to Indianapolis, Indiana to visit my daughter.  As I entered the city, the Lord spoke to me and said, “Write.”  Then He began to tell me what to write.

About the Author

Alberta Mackifield was born in Palatka, Florida.  She is the oldest of ten children.  She is the mother of one daughter,  two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  Alberta is an Ordained Missionary.  She is a long time member of the Church of God in Christ.  She has been writing and reciting poetry for over 75 years.  She is now at age 93 excited about getting her first book published.
