About the Book

Gil is a young Bluegill fish who grew up in the Ohio River.  His life took a very unexpected turn when he left the river in order to live in a creek by the name of "North Fork".  There, in a much smaller area of water, big events start to occur in his life.  How will Gil react to all of these things?  Only he can decide. No matter what Gil does, his life may take him somewhere that he did not expect.

About the Author

E. W. Shoemaker grew up in the farmlands of Kentucky.  When he was a young boy he would always look at animals in a different way.  He always wondered what it would be like to live life as one of them.  He graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Mount Vernon, Oh. in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and started working as a Minister.  Even though E. W. Shoemaker is an adult who works with other adults, he still has the same curiosity he had as a child concerning animals.  He finally responded with this book, his first of more to come, with animals as his topic.  His goal is to cause his readers to think about living the life of an animal and truly consider what it would be like!
