The Rain
When I hear the sound of the rain
It’s like a soft sound that is falling from heaven
When I close my eyes I can envision how the it
Comes down and touches the earth with every drop
of its moisture
When I hear sound of the rain the calmness
washes away the pain within me. The sound makes
me whole and complete like the morning dew in springtime.
The sound of the rain takes me to a place where
can only imagine in that moment of time.
And when I hear the sound of rain
I knew for that moment that it won’t be forever

About the Book
The Book is mixture of personal feelings, love, spirituality and past experiences. Anyone who has experienced at least one of these can relate. It hepls you to connect with the Author and see things through his eyes. Sometimes we get so self absorbed in our own battles that we don't see the important things around us. Everyone has a story to tell, but what you do with it is the key.
About the Author
Author Martin Luthur King Pounds was born in Bronx, New York 1968. It has always been his passion to write for many years. Later he moved to Levy, South Carolina where he attended West Hardeeville Elementary and graduated from Jasper County High in 1987. He has an older brother and a younger sister that he is very much close too. He begin to write poetry at the age of 14 where he began to express his feelings by writing them down. By doing so he can take any topic an translated into such beauitful words. Right now is currently working on his Assoicate's degree for Computer Engineering, but his passion remains his first love and that will never end. He is truly committed to fullfilled his dream as a writer, his mother would be very proud of him today.
