The wind blowing hard
Dead leaves dancing around
Her hair disarrayed
Hiding her face
She looks at me
Says nothing
Wind blows harder
I have no way
Of knowing
What those eyes
Are hiding
A thought
Crosses my mind
I have never
Held her hand in mine
I wonder if her hands
Would be soft to hold
Or the gardening
has taken its toll
you know what
like all other things
that make her
the dearest of all
I shall never know at all.

About the Book
The poems in this book span a twenty five year period in the poets life, there is a song of lonliness in some , a story of heartbreak in others and a few have the taste of those sour moments when life is turned upside down because things were not what they seemed and their ugly new faces make us want to cry, but not all is morose and drab, there are a few about those moments of ecstasy, when a man wants to shout from the roof tops about his conquests. But it is the easy readability and a sense of purpose that make these poems stand out , as if the feelings mentioned here were universal , as if the rythum of words can make a song spring up from the barren deserts of a heartless soul.
About the Author
The author is a Medical Doctor with several years of practise of medicine behind him, he started writing poetry as a means of expression , when all else failed . He has gone through life with a strong belief in the indomitable strength of the human spirit , how after a million rejections it stays unbroken and ready for another battle. he believes that in life there is no way but through, through all the pain , the agony and heartbreak , before one can glimpse the dawn of a million suns He has travelled widely both in the course of his professional duties and as an avid tourist , but in the last decade has settled in London where he lives with his wife.
