About the Book
In “The Sins of an Angel: The Linmore Chronicles,” Angelica “Angel” Hampton-Madison recalls the ups and downs of her life to a priest, hoping for guidance into a growing dilemma.
Throughout life, Angel has been dealt a difficult hand.
Following the death of Angel’s parents, growing up on the wrong side of the tracks with her grandparents Blanche and Charles Franklin in the small community of Linmore, Indiana, was a challenge. But her relationship with Daniel Madison is a glimmer of hope for the red-haired beauty.
However, the Madison family has it’s own sinister secrets. Matriarch Elva Madison, who has been a nagging sore in the Franklin family’s side before Angel was born, rules with a venomous tongue and an iron hand.
Quickly alienated in an abusive marriage, Angel finds herself struggling with Daniel’s increasing rage and intolerance while trying to preserve a relationship with her two daughters, who are taught to detest and disregard their mother by Elva’s relentless meddling.
Confronted with the daunting decision of whether to stay and hope for the best or venture out into the unknown alone, Angel discovers a radical third path while watching a newscast about recent carjackings that she believes will rekindle the magic her marriage once had. Angel is further confused when a familiar source of happiness reenters her life while waiting for the situation to turn the way she is hoping for.
Meanwhile, the investigation into Angel’s mysterious disappearance – and potential murder – engulfs the community of Linmore, who have been aware of the Madison family’s dark secrets the entire time.
Once all the drama unfolds and she is done bearing her soul to the priest, Angel is left with a simple decision; turn left or right, unsure where the new paths will take her.
