About the Book

The guide is a refreshingly different account of the Christian story and is ideally suited to young adults. It covers the main Christian events succinctly and links them in a way that makes the story come alive.

About the Author

Peter was born and educated in the West Midlands, England. He is a technologist and educator and holds three degrees including a Higher Doctorate in Technology. He has been a Christian all his life and as a teenager was confirmed a member of the Anglican Church. Peter is married to Ann who is a Methodist. After their marriage Peter and Ann moved to Lancashire where they attended a Congregational church. They now attend a joint Anglican and Methodist church in Berkhamsted, their home town. Peter has a strong belief in the need to reunite the Church.

The author is an experienced university teacher and technical author. During his career he became the Deputy Rector of the Polytechnic of Central London. In retirement Peter has retained contact with young people through his work as an inspector of schools.

He is very aware that many young adults do not understand Christianity and all too many are non-religious. Peter recognises that there is a lack of spirituality in modern society and a need to engage more young people with the Gospel of Jesus and the life of the Church. These are the main reasons why he has written the Christian Story. The author has attempted to make the guide simple and easy to understand in the hope that it will encourage more young people to engage and evaluate the Christian story for themselves and find faith.
