I dreamed that the owner of a Major League Baseball team walked into his team’s club house after the team had lost its last seven games. The manager of the team approached the owner and said in a loud voice to the owner, “ this team isn’t going anywhere. I am out of here.” He gave the owner his resignation .The owner turned to the coaches and said, “Do any of you want to manage this team?” None of them responded. The room was silent. Standing over in the corner of the room, observing all of this was the batboy. The owner turned to the batboy and said, “ Kid do you know anything about baseball?” The kid answered, “ Yes sir, I have played it since tee ball, coach pitch, little league and all the rest, now I am playing college ball.” The owner said, “Kid the team is yours to manage. What ever you need, you ask. Money is no problem.”
The players, coaches , and the batboy, all thought this was just a joke. When the owner raised his hand and asked for quiet, the laughter stopped. The owner then spoke “This is no joke. If the kid accepts my offer he is your new manager.”

The author better known as Bill, a Pastor, Author, and Evangelist for over 50 years. He has published over the years many articles in religious publications. One Christian novel titled: FROM RICHES TO RAGS AND RAGS TO RICHES – Xulon press. As a young person he was an excellent athelete in baseball, basketball, and later in golf. His knowledge of baseball having played the game for many years, and his Christian commitment, most would agree that this should qualify him to produce this sports novel.
