About the Book
"No Longer A Victim: Poems From A Survivor"are Trice's personal expressions and feelings of hurt, hate, love, happiness, emptiness, and sadness after being molested by a relative as a child; these poems were written throughout her adolescent years. Trice's goal is to inspire others to write and/or talk about their abuse, instead of holding it in and letting it go. She wants other victims to know that they are not alone and they can become SURVIVORS too!
About the Author
P. Wright, who is also known as Trice, was born in December of 1983. She was raised in Prince George's County, MD and is the oldest of four. Trice was for the most part a happy and normal child up until she was molested by a relative around 8 or 9 years of age. She couldn't trust anyone after that, not even her own family. Trice grew up feeling alone, ugly, and unwanted. She contemplated suicide many times until she found the love of GOD. When she turned 14, she gained the strength to say enough and was baptized. Even though the molestation ended, the pain and anguish continued. Trice was hurting so much because, she was afraid and was told not to tell anyone by her molester; however, she was able to confide in her friends and her poetry.
