About the Book

“The Girl Who Wore Many Hats” is a children’s book that was written and illustrated utilizing hats to teach concepts of diversity through shapes, color, size, and even vocation and avocation. The simple rhyme style of this book is intended to appeal to pre-readers and young readers, ages two through six. However, older children and adults will appreciate the inspirational “Girl Power” message in this book which intends to present useful tools and classic life lessons to all children in an endearing simple way.

About the Author

Jeanne McNally lives in the Washington, D.C. suburbs with her husband, two young children and dog. She works part time as a Speech-Language Pathologist. “The Girl Who Wore Many Hats” was written and illustrated by Jeanne in 2000 while she was living abroad with her husband who is in the U.S. Navy. The book was created prior to Jeanne having any children. More recently, Jeanne found a copy of this book and decided to read it to her four-and-a-half year old son. Jeanne’s son loved the book which prompted Jeanne to seek publication for the book. She hopes all children, young and old, will enjoy her book.
