About the Book

This book was written based on many years of practice and hands on experience in working with Microsoft Windows products such as: Windows 95 / 98 / XP – Home and Professional,  and even some information in this book deal with a few issues I personally ran across with using Windows newest upgraded program which is the Windows Vista (upgrade).
I will try to explain and help you understand how to get rid of all these issues, without losing your information on your hard drive which is what happens when a Virus attacks your system and you are lost in the world of high priced company’s and programs that say they will help rid your system of a virus or malware when at the last resort you have to rebuild your entire hard drive.
This book shows the ways in which to get rid of virus’s that can sneak into your computer and cause havoc and make you lose valuable information both personally and professionally, or worse yet, there has been times where questionable files have been installed onto your system without you being aware of it.  My intention in writing this book is also to help anyone from the youngest to the oldest, understand what to do by simply reading and understanding what keys to push to start you off not only learning about how to rid and prevent getting a virus, but to also help you as a computer user be more savvy on your own computer system.
Included are programs which I personally use and share with family and friends to use when they ask how to keep their own computers running smoothly and effectively without crashing.  I do not receive anything for endorsing these products or by telling you their names.

About the Author

Chazz Kearney, is the son of, Otto J. Snay and Geraldine G. Kearney.  He has a book of poetry written called “Purity of Heart”.  Taking into consideration for his accumulated knowledge  in computers and especially with Windows XP problem issues, he took on the task to write this book to help others.
He currently has an ATA (1995) and AAS (2005) degree from Olympic College, in Bremerton Washington, and graduated on the Dean’s list with both degree’s and also is an honors associate member of, Phi Theta Kappa.  Chazz, also has completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services and Rehabilitation from Western Washington University (2008) in Washington State, and is presently finishing his PhD in Psychology at Walden University.

Chazz, served in the military and became a disabled veteran of the Gulf War Era.  His interest in computers and their working, started with the introduction at one of his installations of the WANG computer systems.  He decided to take on learning all he could about the building and working of the computer and has become very good at it, but doesn’t hesitate to admit that those who go into this IT field through educational venues are certainly the masters.
He got married to his wife of 26 years as of 2009, after only 3 days of knowing her.  They raised their 4 children and are still living life as full as they possibly can.
