Anointed Lyrics and Poetry

From my early childhood in my native Jamaica to when I came to England as a nine year old in the late sixties catchy and rhymed language got my attention.

I recall my first poem which I turned into a song when I was in the Reggae band Malaika which later became Exile Intact, called `What A Pressure'. Part of it goes something like this: Me walk round town, Me start to frown ,Me feel like a clown, Cause me really down. (You can see me playing bass in Exile Intact on `YouTube' to a song I co-wrote called Lazy Day which was performed in 1984 on the popular TV show 3-2-1).

I must add the hymns and choruses I sung in church and Bible reading in my formative years inspired me to write poetry and lyrics. But my greatest inspiration is the Holy Spirit. Without Father God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit I could never have written this book.

This book is divided into two sections which I called section 1 and section 2.

Section 1 contains 23 poems and in section 2 are all 13 songs from my `debut gospel album' entitled, “It Could Have Been Worse.”

This tells me our God is so interested in the songs and poems and books He inspires and anoints us to write, otherwise, He wouldn't have bothered to count Solomon's 3.000 proverbs and 1000.05 songs; and had it preserved in the Sacred Book of life for our inspiration. So I therefore encourage you, be blessed as you go forward with jovial laughter, crying, clapping, dancing, and singing your way through Anointed Lyrics and Poetry.

He has also written two books “The Blessing and the Birthright”, and “Blessed to Go Forward”and; an album called, “It Could Have Been Worse.”
