About the Author

Bill Ruskin has traveled frequently to Scotland and Ireland and was a co-founder of Quality Golf International.  He has written instructional guides on cross-country skiing and canoeing.  He co-authored with Bjorn Kjellstrom, How a Compass Works and is a contributor to World Book Encyclopedia on the subjects of Hiking and Camping. He is a marshal at Pine Creek Golf Club and volunteers for trail restoration and maintenance projects on national forests in the west with the National Smokejumper Association.  In addition to being a fitness buff with a keen interest in the golf business, he lives with his wife and Kepler, a Golden Retriever in Colorado Springs.  They spend as much time as possible outdoors at Ullr's Rest, their mountain retreat in the Colorado Rockies overlooking Breckenridge.

Tom Renfrew, PhD, retired from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland as Director of the Institute of Sport and a career working in Leisure and Recreation.  He has written, as sole or co-author 11 books in the field of Sport and Physical Education with most of the publications now part of the educational curriculum.  His present book co-authored with Bill Ruskin, is designed to assist golfers to plan and partake in a golf vacation to Scotland.  Tom lives with his wife in the Doghouse Cottage on the Buchanan Castle Estate in Drymen, Scotland.
