Robbie, the Red kangaroo, Resides in Australia's outback Region. He Relies on his Rapport with Raw nature for survival. Resting during the sweltering heat of the day and Roaming around at night looking for food to Replenish his system. Robbie Roo and his native friends, Emma emu and Katie koala Refuse to allow other 'Races' into their circle of trust. "My Race has been here the longest, so kangaroos Rule this land!" Robbie often Remarked, teasing the others. "Rubbish! We've all got equal share," a diplomatic Emma emu would Respond. One Random day, as Robbie was on Routine, Relaxing under the scorching sun's Rays, a sharp sting in the Ribs Roused his senses, and with a mighty leap, he Rose to his feet. His ears, like a Radar tracking device, followed the buzzing sound Round to the River, where he spotted his Rude attacker. Ah, a European wasp! He should have known.

About the Book
Robbie, the Red kangaroo, is a proud native Aussie marsupial. So much so, that he openly Resents other 'Races' invading his home. Particularly the Recent arrival of the wasp. Until one day, he himself is in danger of Ruthless discrimination, only to be Rescued by his arch Rival. His attitude shifts and quickly enforces tolerance and equality amongst all Races. This union makes him a national representative of equal Rights - internationally Recognized. The hidden message behind the animal characters teaches children about the importance of showing understanding, patience and acceptance to everyone, everywhere, everyday.
About the Author
Matina Bastakos was born and raised in Australia's multicultural society. Her wish to cultivate tolerance and acceptance amongst all races is the reason for this book's existence. She is currently teaching English as a foreign language in Greece. Her first children's book is called 'Emma Emu's Eager Environmental Endeavour'. 'E" as in Earth.
