In the big city of hustle and bustle lived a dinosaur named Dino. He was cute, cuddly and he was the last dinosaur left on earth. He was a happy and positive dinosaur but he was very lonely. Something was missing in his life but he wasn't exactly sure what it was.
As he walked around, he saw friends playing, couples holding hands and people dancing. "That's it!", shouted Dino. "That's what is missing! Someone to share my life with. Someone special who will like me for me and not be afraid". Dino became sad again, "But who would want to be friends with a scary, old dinosaur?"

Dino, the last dinosaur left on earth, had sadly accepted the fact that he would spend the rest of his life alone. Just when he was about to give up on ever having a best friend, his life is changed forever when he meets a beautiful butterfly named Mishy. They become the very best of friends and pledge to be side by side forever. But when the friendship begins to sour, Dino realizes that he must sacrifice his own happiness for the happiness of Mishy. "The Butterfly and The Dinosaur" teaches children and adults about the power of friendship, unconditional love and being unselfish. Will there be a happy ending? About the Author
Mr. Grosso was born and raised in New York. His tough guy, private eye exterior hides a much softer and gentler side which comes through in his writing. He has published over thirty poems but this is his first book. Everyone who knows him, fully appreciates his love of children and the important roles we all must play in their development into adulthood. Inspired by someone "very special" to him, at the age of 55, he realized that we are never to old to learn a valuable lesson about life, love, friendship and letting go unselfishly. He shares this lesson with children of all ages, races and creeds. His unique writing style delivers a powerful yet subtle message that is easily understandable to the adult, teacher and child. "Children are much smarter than when I was younger, even today's cartoons are more sophisticated", says Grosso. "I have taken a series of life's lessons and placed them in a format that enables the person reading it, as well as the child listening, to fully understand its meaning and lesson. Hopefully everyone who buys and reads "The Butterfly and The Dinosaur" will walk away with a smile in their heart along with a better understanding about the many rewards that come when we unselfishly put other's happiness before our own. Mr. Grosso has recently completed his second book, "The Uncowardly Lion" and production is anticipated before the Spring of 2011.
