About the Author

Linda Mehrtens is a 1982 graduate of McKendree University in Lebanon, IL with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Marketing and Management. She has also completed the GMAC Finance Manager Training School in Detroit, Michigan and the Rex Johnson University of Lending program in Chicago, IL. She has been working as a Senior Manager in Banking and Finance for over 30 years.

She has been an instructor for the American Institute of Banking and has been directly involved in the development of dozens of lending professionals in Banks and in Credit Unions. She has developed many successful lending products and has worked with hundreds of automotive dealers.

Her innovative teaching techniques have been used by many individuals in the lending field. Her knowledge of credit has helped her to counsel hundreds of individuals in how to handle their credit. She has advised many consumers on how to establish credit, how to bundle their debts for easier payment as well as how to help consumers get out of debt.

She has been instrumental in helping consumers avoid bankruptcy and get their lives back on track. Her direct, hands on, experience in lending has made her an invaluable expert on credit review and analysis.
