At The Crossroad

A LIFE DEFERRED


Without the proper lead
Will he ever succeed?

Never has been to stationery, but
Always affiliated with the missionary.

Broken hopes and dreams
When you thought it would beam

Couldn’t see far enough
Nor tell what’s real or a bluff

The reality that was blind
It works on your mind

There was an hidden agenda
To you it wasn’t rendered

Marked by the negative not the positive
Tends to make one provocative

You’ve been well denied but
Honestly you’ve tried

You’ve been cut off
As though you stay in draught

The plans just don’t work
Although duty was not shriek

You really haven’t got there and
You wonder is life fair

What happens to a life deferred?
Is the answer in god’s Word?”
