Without a word Brady leapt from the bed and threw back the curtains. He saw a thick snow blanketing what was a brownish green lawn just the day before. He peered out of the snow-covered glass. He was in awe of its beauty. Holly joined him. With a single glance between them, the twins raced out of the room through the hall and down the stairs. They ran past the kitchen and to the back porch window to find their backyard was now a winter wonderland.

About the Author
Stephen J. Richards began writing lyrics for music at the age of thirteen. He later expanded his skill by learning to play guitar and drums. As a musician he began to see the lighter side of life and wrote comedic poetry. The poems explained yearly adventures in place of sending a simple Holiday card. At the young age of 39 he and his wife were blessed with twins, a boy and a girl. In December of 2009, Steve began writing the holiday poem, but the pen had a different idea. A story unfolded on the paper and before he knew it, a dream of writing a children’s story became a reality.
