My name is Angeline. A healthy woman until I was diagnosis with stage III ovarian cancer. Talk about a punch in the stomach! I remember first hearing the word ovarian cancer when I hear on the news about Gilda Radner's death. I remember thinking what a tragic loss for us. Hearing about all the symptoms that quietly mimic other bodily complaints we may have and choose to ignore must have stuck in my subconscious. My subconscious gently nudged me to talk with my doctor when something just wasn't right. You can research information on the various cancers out on the Web and get overwhelmed with the knowledge, facts and figures out there. I did not know what to expect physically and mentally. People just don't like talking about their pain, how long it lasts and how they are handling it. So people suffer in silence while our surrounding family members and potential caregivers stand helplessly by wondering what is going on. Those who read my letters told me my story should be told as it helped them tremendously. I wasn't asking for sympathy just understanding. So here are my personal letters to family and friends as I walked my journey.

About the Book
What is your first thought when you hear the word cancer? It's probably not a good one. Cancer changes us, some of us for good others for bad. Ovarian cancer changed me. I became stronger, determined and empowered. From being a listener I became a writer. This book is about my journey through Chemotherapy. As I told my story to family and friends, I discovered that besides being concerned, they were starving for information. This topic and what a person is experiencing along the way was new to most of them. It changed the direction of my life and helped others to look at cancer from a new perspective. You'll laugh with me, maybe you'll cry, but hopefully you'll be come a wiser person.
About the Author
Angeline Graser was born and raised in Wisconsin, graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School, Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1965. She worked in clerical, statistical and administrative positions for insurance companies in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Raleigh, North Carolina. She moved to Florida in 1990 to become primary caregiver to parents, George (deceased) and Dolores Black. She is a past president of the Council of Catholic Women and past assistant Youth Group leader at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church in Sarasota, Florida. Being passionate about the knowledge needed to confront ovarian cancer and Chemotherapy, a book of her experiences was inevitable. She lives in Bradenton, Florida with her son, Christopher, who owns his own web design company, Last 7 Studios.
