If I Were A Mockingbird-

I have often heard my mother say

That if God gave me a choice

Of what I would like to be in another life

I would choose to be a Mockingbird.

There is nothing like a symphony

Ringing from the trees

A sweet Bird song will cast a spell

And put you in a trance.

If I were a mockingbird

I would travel across the seven seas

To find that peaceful place

Sit high upon a mountain

Watch the ships sail

Then I would sing,sing,and sing.

I would sing away the troubles

And difficulties of this world

Sing songs of praise until my heart is content

Sing until there was no more sorrow

No more pain

I would sing from dawn to dusk.

Sing until all my hard trials and tribulations

Have vanished into the clouds

Sing until my soul is set free

Sing until there is peace in the valley for me.

My Darling Mother,

Some day you will find that peaceful place

Sit high upon a mountain

And watch the ships sail

Sing until Heavens orchestrates

A wind string symphony

Of harps, violins, lyres

Sing mother sing.

On that great day I will smile

As I look up above my head

And say sing mockingbird sing.

Amazing grace how sweet the sound

I once was lost

But now I'm found

Was blind but now I see

Sing mockingbird sing.
