The fishing boat just seemed to appear from nowhere, having been shrouded in the dense fog that surrounded Craig Alaska in the early morning of September 5, 1982.
The 58 foot Investor from Blaine Washington had been anchored in the same spot for thirty hours.
Fishermen are busy unloading the last of the seasons catch, cleaning the gear, and of course getting out of Craig to see their loved ones.
This was not to be for the crew of the INVESTOR. Someone in Craig knew the Investor crew would never fish again. The Investor had been left in the cove some thirty hours earlier, believing she would sink. As the fog lifted the killers stood on the dock and would learn that their attempt to scuttle the Investor had failed.

About the Book
The book details the murders aboard the fishing vessel Investor. This is the largest unsolved mass murder in Alaska State history. Eight people were slaughtered, including two small children and the Captians pregnant wife. The book starts with the actual scene of the murders and continues on through the lives of those involved as well as two trials of the suspected killer. The State failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that their suspect was guilty. The author was personaly involved with the case from the beginning. During years of research, evidence was uncovered by the author as to the identitity of the possiable murderers. New evidence uncovers legal misconduct, lies , coverups and powerful drug connections. All of which shed new light on this gruesome crime.
About the Author
Michael McGuire was born in the Pacific Northwest. His writing carrer began in the 1960's having published books of poetry, short stories and screenplays. Michael attended Columbia University majoring in psychology. Later attending the Institute for graduate studies in Clinical Hypnotherapy. Most of the his adult life has been involved in the treatment of Alcoholism and Drug addiction. Over the years he has written many papers on the treatment of these addictions.
