About the Book
Part of Tom Cutters instructions to his men:
“We will have something original on this drive. Out artist, Artie Cohn, has painted a map all the way to Abilene on the chuck wagon canvas. He’ll be painting our progress each day all the way to our destination as well as incidents that may happen along the way.”
On the other side of the wagon he has painted another map for our trip back home. Check with them to know where we are, how far we’ve gone and how far we have to go.”
About the Author
Tom Davy grew up riding horses for his uncle; a horse trader and cattle buyer. By the time he went to the University of Missouri, he had become a wrangler on a Colorado summer camp, worked on a ranch in Montana and became an athletic trainer at the University. His opportunities to talk to horsemen created Davy’s growing interest in the Old West. It grew to a passion through his 38 year teaching schedule which included a career of coaching four sports through 94 seasons and five more years as an athletic director. Now, in his retirement, Davy is writing his ideas about westerns.
