THE ENVELOPE PLEASE I stood in the shadow Watching myself Wanting to run From an unknown cause All those memories Flooded me And I turned to go But didn’t know Which way to turn The past was attacking I stumbled around Blinded by my tears Of both sorrow and joy Such a battle waged within me Such a floodlight opened up And to know I am getting Closer to the end I still feel distraught My answer lies written in a white envelope Soon to arrive Giving me a new direction And courage to emerge From the shadows Once again

About the Book
A Journey in Poetry depicts a journey in the recovery process. I am taking you through a journey of good and bad times, reflected in thoughts and feelings; places where we all have been at different times. The book is about life; struggles which we all have; about answers which we all find.
Many people have inspired me to write this book and I thank each and every one of you. I hope that, while you are reading this book you have time to reflect on the passages, to feel the words, to love the stories. I hope it touches your life.
