About the Book

This is the fifth book in a series about two Chihuahuas, Jack and Dobbie. The first book The Beginning tells how Dobbie came to be adopted through an animal rescue group as a playmate for Jack. Then Happy Tails describes events that nearly ended in disaster as well as more light-hearted moments of interaction with Jack. Next Doggie Holidays explains how the dogs celebrate their birthdays and holidays with the family. The fourth book Traveling Buddies details the vehicles the dogs like to ride in and the places they visit. This book Mischievous Chihuahuas reveals their bad behavior always discovered after the fact. As their story continues in Guard Dogs on Patrol, the sixth and final book in the series, the reader will understand how the two little Chihuahuas work as partners in protecting and defending their territory. We hope you enjoy reading their story and that you may be encouraged to adopt a pet and know the true joy they bring to the home.

About the Author

Jack and Dobbie live with Shirley and Ray Scott in the small town of Hoagland, Indiana. The author is writing the book series to tell the story of how the two Chihuahuas became members of the household and how much they are loved. After Jack came to live with the Scotts, he was lonely; so they adopted Dobbie from a pet rescue organization as a playmate for Jack. This series is intended for children to see similarities in the problems and behaviors of their own pets. The author wants the reader to understand the joy the little adopted dog and his brother have brought to the family. She hopes these books will encourage others to adopt from shelters and to know the satisfaction of giving a pet a loving home.
