Alex has a new video game and he really wants to play it! His parents both say it is too nice outside to be inside playing video games. When he's done playing outside he tries to get all of his chores done and play, but there's so much that needs to be done! When it starts raining, Alex FINALLY gets to play his game. But the rain doesn't stop, and Alex wont stop playing if it's not nice outside - not for his Dad, not for a plumber... not even for the Army! About the Book
Go Play Outside! was written by Paul Burch and illustrated by Josh Burns. This is their first collaboration, and they hope you enjoy this humorous tale of a small boy who gets told something very familiar when he wants to play his video game - "Go Play Outside!".
About the Author
Paul Burch grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan where he obtained a Bachelors degree in English from the University of Regina. Growing up with a large extended family he was surrounded by children and has always enjoyed storytelling. His love of travel has fuelled his imagination and he hopes to bring more stories alive for children and young adults. Go Play Outside! is his first children's book. Josh Burns was born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where he was influenced by the artistic work of Michael Martchenko, Richard Scarry, Maurice Sendak - and his Dad. Josh has been drawing and painting since he could hold a pencil and attended the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology where he graduated from the New Media Communications program. Currently working in Regina, Saskatchewan, this is the first children‛s book to be added to his diverse and ever expanding portfolio. The Canadian Red Cross will receive $1.00 from the sale of every Go Play Outside! to help them continue assisting people affected by disasters such as fires and floods.
