About the Book

Woody’s Adventures is a delightful interactive series about Woody, an orange tabby cat with a crooked tail. In Book One, Good Fortune, Woody is four years old and lives at Wood’s Humane Society while waiting to be adopted. In this story, Woody and his friends learn the value of patience, listening and a joyful spirit.They also play and have fun while creating what a wise shepherd named Old Dog calls, “good fortune”.

Meet Woody’s guardian angel. A tiny cat with wings and and a halo. She is small, smart, and bothersome. Woody refers to her as Guardian Angel Cat. Sam, a flea, lives in Woody’s fur coat. Sam likes to dig in with his all-flea rock band.

Christine and Anna are college students managing the critters living at the shelter.

One night, Old Dog tells Woody how he creates “good fortune” every day at Wood’s Humane Society. According to Old Dog, everyone has the ability to create their own good fortune. However, not everyone understands what it is. Old Dog promises Woody to show him how he does it. Together, they plan to meet on the patio during the next full moon.

Join them all at a fancy cat show, in the bathtub, and on the patio at the shelter during a full moon. Share in their exciting adventures and then consider the questions in the Something to Think About sections. Both reader and listener will enjoy the thought process. About the Author

Meet The Writer. Kathy lives in Oregon with her daughter and family. An avid outdoor girl raised in Nevada she enjoys swimming, camping, boating, motorcycles and nature. A 23-year career in the media industry took Kathy and her husband to every major city in the United States. Woody’s Adventures is an interactive series Kathy started in February 2005. Based on the real life of a homely cat waiting to be adopted from Wood’s Humane Society in San Luis Obispo, Ca. Woody’s message is about patience; giving and receiving and how this circle of love makes him feel. Follow Woody as he learns to seek Good Fortune to discover it is everywhere.
