Imagine, if you will, standing naked, eyes closed in the hope that if you cannot see them they cannot see you, hearing the echo of your own breath quiver as you try to breath in. The stench of alcohol is overwhelming, and you hear the sound of fingers tapping on empty bottles of beer. Every man in the bar is as old as your father and even much older, and their eyes are piercing every part of your exposed body, wanting and waiting for you to dance. How does someone get to this place, you might ask. It does not happen overnight. I have never known a little girl to say, “When I grow up, I want to be a stripper.” For me, this was not my imagination; this was my life.

Chelsea, who now is 28 years old, lives in Arizona and has been married for over five yeas. She and her husband have two sons. Chelsea is a full time Psychology student who loves to help those who are in need.
