Harry tried to attract Debbie’s attention behind the bar. Debbie, blonde, curvy and with a skirt no longer than a curtain pelmet was always in demand.

‘Hi, Debbie’, cried Harry.

‘I need your body’.

‘Easy, Harry, I’m busy.’

‘Bear with me for a minute Harry’.

‘I wouldn’t mind being bare with you for a minute Debbie. Or for a whole load of minutes’.

‘In your dreams Harry. In your dreams. Now what do you want to drink?

Pints is it? Because that’s the best offer you’ll get all night. Anyway where’s Miss Brown tonight? Not that you’d be much use to her Harry. Not after a tray full of pints.’

‘Sheila and I had a bit of a difference of opinion’.

‘Row over drink?’

‘Something like that’.

‘Harry, you’re missing out on a great girl in Sheila Brown. You should slow down and make an honest woman of her. Look at Sean. He’d give a fortune to pick up a woman like Sheila and bring her home to Anne Marie’. Sean shook his head.

‘The only thing I’d bring home to my mother is a Rottweiler. Even it wouldn’t be suitable. Knowing her love of the saints she’d prefer a Saint Bernard’’.
