The Innkeeper's Wife

About the Book

One night angels came to some shepherds and announced that a very special baby was born. The shepherds who were the first to know rushed by an inn and woke the innkeeper's wife. She was so upset to be awakened by such an ordinary event that she scolded the shepherds for disturbing her! But what news they had! She changed her mind when she realized how special this baby was.

About the Author

Angela Landon has been teaching elementary school for about 18 years. Christmas is one of her favorite celebrations. She thought it would be fun to tell the story of Jesus’ birth from the point of view of the innkeeper’s wife. She likes to rhyme so this is a poem. Some of her students dressed up to help tell the story. Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday Jesus! Ms. Landon lives with her family in North Texas .
