About the Book

About the Author

Aloysius Aseervatham has written several successful books over the past 20 years. A London University qualified mathematician and a Certified Practising Accountant, Al was a successful teacher for over 46 years in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australasia. He was prompted to write this book after decades of watching students struggle with algebra and subsequently limit their career choices in high school and university. Although very successful at coaching school students in algebra, the benefits of his expertise were only felt by those who spent time with him in classes and tutorials. Writing text books became a means of reaching those students that could not benefit directly from his teaching. Aloysius married at the age of 25 years and had three boys. The first one was born in London, UK, the second one was born in Lagos Nigeria and the third one was born in Kabwe, Zambia. All three children are professionals, the first one is a doctorate in Engineering, the second one a Surgeon and the third one is a school teacher, After enjoying 42 years of happy married life he lost his wife in 2006. Aloysius had lived and worked in England, in four different African States (Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, and Malawi) and moved finally to Brisbane, Australia where he has lived for 27 years. In Australia he work for the Taxation Office for a year or so and then taught accounting in a Technical and Further Education College for 20 years. After the loss of his wife he retired but is actively involved in tutoring children while continuing to write books.
