About the Book
Hippie Hippopotamus is about Hippie, a hippopotamus that has a garden and learns the value of growing her own food eating healthy. She also learns about the beauty of flowers and the process of how things grow in the dirt. She grows lots of berries, pumpkins, tomatoes, flowers, and even evergreen trees for Christmas. Her friends—a hummingbird, a bumblebee, a bluebird, and a frog—help her and add to her beauty.
About the Author
Rebecca Rimes is an artist and author living in Birmingham, Alabama. She loves to write children's books because she is a child at heart. Rebecca was a career mammographer, and she loves to share in spreading the word and teaching about breast cancer. She is also an advocate of Alzheimers Association and loves to spread the word about the many resources available to those living with Alzheimer’s and their loved ones. Rebecca lives with and is the caregiver of her beautiful mother. Rebecca has a sister, two nephews, and a niece. She has no pets, though she loves cats (she is just allergic to them).
