JESUS, MY ONE TRUE LOVE I’ve been looking for my one true love And realized I forgot about the one above Been looking for the right one, the special one Then remembered about God’s son Been looking for the one to put my trust in And remembered you died because you loved me Been looking for someone to love me unconditionally Remembered you were there with me through the thick and thin Been looking for someone to respect me And remembered you created me and forgave me Been looking for someone to share my feelings with Remembered you were always listening Counting my tears in a bottle Been looking for someone to forgive my past And remembered you forgave it all, as much as seventy times more and more… After thinking this through, time and time again I realized my one true love Was always you. Christina Carpenter is from Queens, New York. She maintains hobbies in reading, writing, singing, drawing and painting. Since childhood, she has been writing children's fiction, inspirational poetry and keeping personal journals. She enjoys writing so much that she dreamed to have a published book, one day.
