About the Book

Jesse is a very friendly and happy German Shepherd Dog. In this first book, "Jesse Goes To School," Jesse learns about all the things that happen when you go to school, from taking the school bus, wearing her seat belt, reading, writing, and learning the weather, music, art and gym. Ages 3-6 years.

About the Author

Author Sue Condreras has long been an animal lover. She got her first puppy, a German Shepherd and Labrador Retriever mix, from a shelter in 1990, and has always had a dog in her life since. She learned progressively more about dogs and dog training with each dog. When she began over 20 years ago, she knew very little about canine behavior, but today, she is the proud owner/handler of two very accomplished dogs, with very busy schedules. Jesse, a female GSD, has multiple titles in obedience, rally, and sheep herding. She has her Canine Good Citizen from the American Kennel Club, and she is a certified therapy dog through Therapy Dogs International. Jesse is also a dual certified NASAR search dog. Jesse is certified as a cadaver dog, as well as a live area search dog. She is handled by Sue who is a NASAR SARTECH II, and a certified K9 handler. Rocket is currently an AKC show dog, working towards his Championship in conformation. Both dogs are trained by the author, who proudly displays their ribbons in multiple display boxes in the family study. "I believe we can learn more from our dogs than what we teach them. I have learned many of life's valuable lessons from my dogs, and I take these lessons with me, long after my mentors are gone. Each dog has his or her own distinct personality, and each has a special place in my heart. I am forever grateful for the roles they have played in my life, and for the commitment and loyalty each one of them has given me over the years." This series of books is dedicated to Topspin, Baci, Oreo, Chico, Tiki, Max, Winston, Bart, Dublin, Jesse, Rocket, and all future K9s that will touch and teach me. I love you all! Sue
