About the Book

"One Inch At A Time" is a whimsical story about a worm and how he observes his surroundings on his slow journey. Everything around him seems gigantic, yet fascinating. He's quite an observant little fellow. He could even see the pilots sitting in the cockpit of the airplane checking the controls. He learns to enjoy his daily slithering around town with a smile on his face. He instinctively strives to advise the world to stop and truly smell the roses.

About the Author

Michael Jon Olancin was a native New Yorker. He received his master's degree from Fordham University in New York City. Michael was an educator, musician, singer, songwriter, a media specialist, and a professional chef. He lived his life by the motto: "Peace, Love, and Harmony." This became his anthem as he wrote lyrics and recorded this song. "Here I am to make a stand There's too much hatred in this here land I'm only one person, one grain of sand But if we join together we can have.... Peace, Love, and Harmony You are unique, special that's true Let all this goodness radiate from you." With this book, we honor Michael's life, and the legacy that he left for future generations to enjoy. "Together We Can" was another song written by Michael and was adopted by the district which he worked in. "We have a dream A dream that's alive All of us know to instinctively strive We shape the future and touch tender lives All of us know to instinctively strive To enrich and encourage, to enhance student's lives To expand student's minds Together we can Together we will 'Cause together we see That together we can We shape the future and we will prevail Through the good and bad times, pure learning will sail Our hands-on approach opens the door Exploration and discovery blooms and then soars..."
