Only In A Dream Series

"Caught In A Web" On this particular day, Kennedy had everyone gather around and she shared the idea of sleeping under the stars in her backyard. The crew cheered with excitement and they all agreed with her idea and added many ideas of their own. Friday rolled around and the excitement was underway. As Kennedy had promised, she was the last one to fall asleep. Minutes into to her sleep, she felt herself falling, and she could not catch on to any of the extended branches she passed on her way down. Just as she touched down, she noticed what appeared to be a silky netting material that broke her fall. Now suspended just inches from the ground, Kennedy remained motionless frighten out of her wits. ------------------------------------- "The Trees Are My Friends" Late one night Kai was awakened by the whistling winds and swaying trees. Fearful of these trees shadows he covered his head and curled up tightly. He grabbed his favorite teddy bear and held it close to him as he shivered and rocked himself back to sleep. Now in a deep slumber, Kai began to dream. He found himself in a beautiful forest. He proceeded with curiosity through the forest following the sounds of soft whispers and giggling. He was a bit nervous as he stopped to listen to what sounded like children’s voices, yet he saw no one. ------------------------------------------- "What Is All The Buzz About?" Riley, having spent most of the evening in the canopy in order to avoid any flying creatures--more specifically bees--was glad now to have her friends join her for the rest of the evening. The sun had now set and Riley, along with her two best friends, settled down in their screened-covered canopy. After an evening of stargazing and pranks, the girls had fallen asleep. Riley, now in a deep slumber, screamed at the top of her lungs, but no sound came out and no one reacted. She flung her arms in the air at what she believed to be a swarm of bees and she ran for her life. Now in the woods, surrounded by a large grove of tall trees, she fell to her knees out of breath stunned by the buzzing sounds that engulfed her.
