About the Author
As a poet, “Bibi,” distinguished himself in his poems, “A LIFE’S EPISODE,” where he was honored as one of The Outstanding Poets of 1994; “THE QUEEN OF ALL,” where he was given loud encomiums in writing One of the Best Poems of 1995; and “TRANSCENDENCE, ” where his metrical composition was considered as One of the Meritorious Poems of 1994, respectively, by the National Library of Poetry. As writer, “Bibi,” authored, “ON WORLD WAR II: Recollections of a Young Filipino Boy,” published by Author House in 05/05/2009. As a technical writer, “Bibi” wrote, for 25 years, numerous documents, studies, monograms, and technical papers in Economics, International Trade, and Agricultural Marketing as a professional economist of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific. “Bibi” is a retired United Nations Principal Officer (Ambassadorial Level); a former Adjunct University Faculty Staff of Universities in Texas lecturing in International Business Management and International Marketing; and formerly a Professor in Economics and Statistics at the Lyceum of the Philippines, Graduate School, and School of Economics, Manila, Philippines. He attended the International Statistical Education Centre at the Presidency College/Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta, India; Cornell University, Graduate School, Ithaca, N.Y.; USDA, Graduate School, Wash., D.C.; and M.S. in AgEco., Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas. As a musician, he composed and arranged, inter alia, the music for “Non Omnis Moriar (Martsa Kay Rizal”) for the Knights of Rizal; “Ako’y Pilotong Pilipino;” and for “ Ave Maria.” He is also a volunteer community worker and an independent international business consultant.
