1 Prayer … Samartha Ramdas Thou art the destroyer of evil and A harbinger of joy and peace I pray to thee to wipe off the News of the coming danger upon me And spread love and Thy mercy O’ Lord. Thy beauteous form O’ Lord is Pasted with a pack of fragrant scarlet And Thy breast shines with a necklace Of the pearls of maxims O’ Ganesha Hail Thy majesty, Thou who art The symbol of good omen I owe my love and respect to thee. Thy only remembrance or Thy sight fulfils my wishes O’ hail to thee my Lord My Master. ***** 2 Pasaya Daan Ataa Vishwatmake Deve … Dnyaneshwar Now thou, my Lord who art the form of This universe, Kindly accept the holy offerings of my Words’ oblation into thy service. If thou art greatly pleased then kindly Grant me thus thy divine blessings. Let the wickedness of the wicked befall And be vanquished, And let there increase the liking for the good And let there also increase the love And friendship among all the living beings. Let the darkness of the evil disappear And let this universe see the suns of Self righteousness Let thou O’ Lord fulfillest their wishes Who seek for thee. Let there be showered a sacred fall of well being and joy on those who Trust thee And let thy devotees endlessly meet In thy world with the faith for thee. The pious and gentle persons are like The mobile groves of thy Kalpataru The tree of desire Meeting such persons is like coming to a mine of diamonds. And such diamonds secure life and Their speech is like the oceans of nectar Which enlivens the life of man. The gentle and pious men are like The stainless moons And like the suns that are cool ! Let these gentle persons O’ Lord Be my kins. What more shall I wish for O’ Lord ! Let all the living beings in the Three worlds, Who art thy endless devotees and Spend their life in thy worship Be happy with only thy grace, That is my prayer. O’ Lord those that will survive Only on this treatise will win over The life in this world and the world Beyond ! Here then spoke the Lord of the Universe to his disciple Thou wilt hence succeed in gifting Thy offering of this treatise Dnyaneshwari To this world and be blessed forever. On receiving the blessings from his Guru Nivaruttinath Dnyaneshwar was pleased and felt blessed.
