RISE BEYOND When my soul and spirit shall rise Beyond the bold and beautiful sky There I will find peace In the kingdom of heaven That promised to be mine forever There will be no more tears shed There will be a joyful noise Of laughter that fills the air There will be no more darkness And crying out for freedom No more mistreating people Because their skin tone wasn’t equal When my soul and spirit shall rise Beyond the bold and beautiful sky There will be no more time of time No different between day and night No rain nor storm That cause us to lose sight When my soul and spirit shall rise I will be entering into the kingdom of heaven Forever lasting life That’s where you’ll find me When I rise When I rise When my soul and spirit shall rise SISTER’S SLAVE Sister listen Don’t think there’s no way out Letting your man call you B’s and Ho’s day in and day out He’s continuing to collaborate with his degrading Profounding disrespectful words of life You began to cling like a roaming element That lost sight of your identity of what’s right Uh he’s wanting to be a super star But go beyond a little too far Sister’s can’t you see corruption is in every community of society It’s becoming a chain of command and a lost organization Of mass destruction of what’s wrong with our new generation Of men improper construction If you know what I mean Depreciating our sister’s and depriving us it’s not a game Now we’re labeled sister’s slave not defending or honoring Our respectful name I can hear Maya Anglo say “still I rise” DR. Martin King say “ free at last I’m Deborah Gresham and I say “ stand as tall as the trees “ Let your voice be as wide as sea Don’t become a victim of an abuse Excise your rights and fight So the next generation of sister’s Can have a respectful life peace BROTHER’S BEWARE Hey brother’s Don’t let the sister’s bring you down Always in you pockets Every time you turn around Leaching , deceiving , conniving Is really her game With her sunshine smile And curvaceous body Is just another invitation Of how she plays the game That would drive any man insane Now she has your attention And began to bring your pockets underground While you’re losing focus, with everything around She’s spending out of control , just laying it down Loss of breath , you can’t keep a grip She’s already planning her next trip So you see my brother’s beware That sister soldier , ain’t going no where Not as long as you have the funds She ain’t even done So beware of the sister’s that inch their Way into your life, she will drain you dry Until all that’s left Is emptiness , tearful eyes Broken hearts And memories full of lies BROKEN When I closed my eyes I could see What and who You use to be So much pain Across your face The sound of your voice Unraveling everyday Zig saw pieces So many broken Untold feelings Not even spoken Lack of confidence Spirit don’t shine Bad mood swings Like life is just a matter of time Sounds of cries echoing rumbling Bouncing wall to wall Side to side Trying to hide all those feelings inside You’re not alone I can see The depth of the deep of your tears and fears Is pouring down through me So when I closed my eyes One day I hope to see God has given you the strength and courage to be The man you use to be UNBROKEN RIVER OF TEARS Our voices cry for freedom While our soul and spirit is on the rise Our hearts are weeping a river of tears Lost in our own lies An invasion of destruction Has caused a mass disruption Of corruption in our Mind body and soul A lack of obligation while playing With temptation Left us weak unwanted like waste On the side of the road Now we’re roaming With no where to go But looking for the master To cleanse our sinful souls Our voices cry for freedom While our soul and spirit is on the rise Our hearts are weeping A river of tears Lost in our own lies Pride I tilt my head back toward the sky Less of no strength but enough to Thank God for my dignity and pride My salvation starves for freedom As my body deteriorate into a disable figure Far beyond my imagination and just short of being cohesion I tighten my belt to the last made man hole So much flesh of flesh just hanging off my Dry brittle bones I use my own tears To quench my thirst My breath became my air Lost in a mist My vision had been burnt With raging lights While My heart is on fire Branded all through the darkest hours of the night But still I found the will To tilt my head back toward the sky Less of no strength But ready to die Because through it all I thank God I still have my dignity and pride COME UNTO ME Come unto the Lord And I’ll give you wings And a promise land you’ve never seen I will educate your mind So you can praise my name all the time Thy ought said the Lord to me I’ll give you glory Redefined your name For who you are You’ll never be the same Words of enchantment Faith and belief is the mobility Of strength That gives a peace to interact With rejoicing that will redirect the mind Of all mankind from sin Come unto me It’s time to have peace Love thy families our neighbors and enemies And let’s live the rest of life eternally Thy ought said the Lord to me Come unto me
