About the Book
A young boy's dream of becoming a sailor and spending his life on the open sea takes an unexpected turn when a chance meeting with an old man reveals to him that his true talents lie elsewhere. Set in rhyming verse by the author, and wonderfully brought to life in watercolor by illustrator Sarah Howard, the book subtly weaves a feel-good story that softly touches the reader's heart.
About the Author
Michael D. Stofko was born in Pottstown, PA, the eldest of 5 sons. He is a graduate of Rutgers University (B.A., History, 1974) and earned his law degree at Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia (J.D., 1982). He has resided continuously under the blue skies of Tucson, Arizona since 1982 and works as a real estate attorney for Pima County. Among his many outside interests are reading, cycling, yoga, hiking and backpacking. His 5 grandchildren give him plenty of ideas for great stories and poems just waiting to be written.
