About the Book
I dedicate these poems to the students and the teachers and staff of P.S. #5 in Jersey City New Jersey. Also to all my children, Alex, Lynnette, Ronny, Merry, and grandchildren, Tiffany, Micaela, Max, and Sofia. To my father Anibal and my mother Francisca.
About the Author
Inspired by the daily events in my life, I wrote a series of poems about my entire life. The events occurred during my working years as a teacher in the elementary schools in New York City, and especially in New Jersey City at P.S. #5. Nature played a part of many of my poems. I believe that the spirit of my grandfather infiltrated my brain when he died. Tadeo Rodriquez Garcia was a writer. He founded his own newspaper, “Clamor in Caguas Puerto Rico.” Yolanda is a native from Puerto Rico. The culture and traditions and her life style as a teacher, has influenced her writings not only by writing poems but also by writing and illustrating children's books as well. Most of my poems were inspired by the events that happened during my teaching years at P.S.#5 Elementary School in Jersey City, N.J. I worked there for seven wonderful years of my life. I retired in June 2004. I then moved to Lutz, and then Tampa, Florida ,where I actually live in very happy. I attended The Staten Island University in (1975-78). I graduated receiving a diploma of a Bachelors Degree in Science. I Major in Art and minor in Education. I am a self proclaim Artist and a writer.
