Kel’s poetry blues is a book of poetry written by Kelton Latson, who is a young poet that has been writing poetry since his ninth grade year in high school. The theme of Kel’s Poetry Blues is pretty self-explanatory. The Blues. What is the blues? What does the blues feel like? What does it mean to have the blues? In this book of poetry you will read what the young poet holds inside his heart and inside his mind. You will read on his outlook of life, fulfilling dreams and love. About the Author

Kelton Latson is a young fictional story book writer and poet. He started writing his freshmen year in high school after being encouraged by one of his literature teachers’, after she had read lyrics to a song he had written. Has time took its course, Kelton being to read poems written by past poet such as Langston Hughes and also studied lyrics written by some of his favorite Hip-hop artist. He then started to get into spoken word poetry. Kelton has won two poetry slam competition that his high school has held and also performed at a Def Poetry Jam event held at Kent State University where he previously attended. Some of his favorite book authors include Omar Tyree, Eric Jerome Dickey and Angela Johnson. Kelton Latson whom is only in his early twenties hopes to be a successful story book writer.
