About the Book

Finally Silky becomes a devoted writer in her once unwanted diary. This delightful young adult novel tells a story of the 12 year old and her two cousins, Tiffany and Brianna who are the same ages and best friends too. Of course they attend the same school and share many of the same adventures. This book merges adolescent behavior showcasing their Aunt Fannie’s wedding, the stress of dressing differently, Silky’s first kiss, to the dilemma of Mr. Duffy’s scary actions. Along with Silky’s vivid imagination adds a ton of humor to an already well told, adventurous story.

About the Author

Marie Bennett was born in Pittsburgh, PA and raised in Brooklyn New York. She holds a Masters degree in Information Technology. As a writer/educator, Marie has always enjoyed writing young adult literature she is currently working on another project and lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
