The fish was stinking huge! I should have listened to grandma when she told me that hot dogs were the best bait to catch whales with. She passed the fish over to me so I could get a picture with it. As soon as I reached for the fish, it started flapping around and smacked grandma in the face a few times and knocked her out of the boat! I had never seen an old woman take a hit like this before. Instead of attempting to climb back in, grandma grabbed her favorite fishing knife and dove back into the water. When she surfaced a few moments later she had the fish in her mouth and climbed back in. “If you take a slap you better give a beating!,” said grandma immediately after she kissed one of her biceps and then began to filet the fish right there on the boat. She always gave the best advice, especially when her blood was pumping and had that crazy look in her one good eye.
