Many are deployed to very difficult or hostile territories, and unfortunately, would face severe and dangerous challenges, including death Often, the men would receive love letters from their loved ones, expressing affection that depicts their feelings and heartfelt experiences while they were together. Readers are welcome to draw their own conclusion as to the type of love these letters represented. It matters less whether they are perceived as fantasy love, impossible love, unattainable love, obsessed love, fanatical love, fleeting love, unrequited love, desperate love, pie in the sky love, or whatever.
