About the Author
Sally Campbell Grout is an award-winning advertising copywriter currently enjoying a second career as a stay-at-home mom. Inspired by her daughter, Elizabeth, who liked to remove her shoes at any given opportunity, Sally wrote "Princess Elizabeth's Odd Shoeless Day." Sally grew up in Griffith, Indiana, and earned her degree in communications from the University of Evansville. Today, she lives in Indianapolis with her husband, Bill, their daughter, Elizabeth, and their dog, Zippy. She looks forward to collaborating on more projects with her nephew, John.
John W. Campbell is an artist and teacher living and working in Massachusetts. After spending his childhood in Muncie, Indiana, John moved to the east coast to earn his fine arts degree in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design. He is now the arts coordinator for an after-school program in Lexington, Massachusetts. He is also a freelance illustrator, frequently working on science illustrations for research at Harvard University; his artwork has appeared on the cover of the prestigious journal Nature and his illustrations have been featured in Current Biology. His paintings can be seen in galleries around the Boston area and on his website, johncampbellvisualartist.com.
