About the Book
The night the triplets were born, it was storming like crazy downtown Los Angeles. Patrick, Phil and Philip (Storm) Stevens were all born June 28th just after midnight and when Philip, the last one came out, he was such a feisty baby, that he was automatically called Storm, a name that has stuck with him through his life. However, a couple of months before their 25th birthday, a major storm came into their lives causing the boys to become close again, instead of trying to individualize themselves from each other. Other than their eye colors, one bluish grey, one hazel green and one light brown you couldn't really tell the difference between them from a distance. They were identical with the perfect bi-racial mix, intelligence and blessed with good looks and good bodies. All had sworn to take different paths. However; as fate would have it, their paths had to cross in order to come through the storm they were about to be overshadowed by.
About the Author
Steven Paul-Germané, born June 28th 1966, in Los Angeles, California and move to a small town in Oklahoma called Ft. Coffee, attended Spiro High School graduating in 1984. At the time I was the third child of five and then with the move to Oklahoma, the third child of seven; with three brothers and three sisters. My father died at age 43 and my mother is still alive. I attended Carl Albert Jr. College in Poteau, Oklahoma and also Westark Community College in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and then continued my education at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, afterwards. I’m a divorced father of two daughters and adopted a son as well as two-step children from the marriage. E. Lynn Harris has always been my inspiration for writing and he too at one time attended the University of Arkansas and taught there also. Not only do I write books, I write songs and am a self-taught piano player whose mother has a strong religious background as did I when growing up. I got my musical start in church at the age of four just like so many others before me. I was at church seven days a week if the church doors were opened and at one time served as minister of music. Although no religious affiliation as of now, I still recognize God as the head of my life and my past experiences whether good or bad are what drives me to write and to accept the cards that I have been dealt. I wrote several stories and tons of songs by the time I graduated high school and recently wrote the lyrics for a song that I was hoping Brad Paisley would have selected to be recorded for his latest album and sent them to Paramount Studios in Nashville, TN. Unfortunately as fate would have it, the 2013 audition that I was to compete in concerning the Voice in Austin, TX July 12th and 13th I wasn’t able to make, due to unforeseen circumstances. As of now, I have completed the manuscripts to five books, The Barber’s Shop, Storm, Storm II: Taken by Storm, Storm III: Storms of Life and Storm IV: Aftermath, with the final installment of the series Storm V: Another Storm almost completed as well as Witness. Writing to me is my drug of choice and through it, I can escape everyday life knowing that I’m appealing to everyone and no matter what age, gender or nationality or sexuality; we’ve all had experiences or know someone who’s shared their experiences with us or their advice about something. Although the books are works of fiction, they come to me in my dreams and I just simply put them into writing. As a child I would write things under the pen name Steven Paul-Germane’ (pronounced Jermaine) and will use that name to continue to write the books that I so love to write and hope that you will enjoy reading. And at night I say this little prayer showing God just how thankful I truly am for what blessings he has bestowed upon me and for the ones that yet to come. “Thank you Lord for blessing me to see another day, You didn’t have to do it but You did it anyway, Thank You for the good, the bad, the happy, the sad, Thank You for the big, the small and for being the Lord of All.”
