I am Olivia. When I was three years old, I had a dream about a pony named Sparkle. In my dream, he said, “I am a secret unicorn, and I am waiting for you to find me.” I told my mom about my dream and asked her to help me find Sparkle. Then one day, my mom showed me a picture of a beautiful white pony. That’s Sparkle!” I said. I was so excited when she said she would buy him for me. Kali told me she would help me train him. The first time I saw Sparkle, he said, “Hi Olivia! I remember you!” I said “Hi Sparkle! I remember you, too! I love you, Sparkle.” “I love you, too, Olivia.” He nuzzled me gently, and I gave him a big hug. Sometimes I take Sparkle for a walk. We like to play princess and unicorn. Sparkle loves that game! Sometimes I just stand in his stall and talk to him about things that are important to me. He is a good listener.

This is a true story written by Olivia about her dreams, persistence, and hard work in finding her pony and training him. She wants to share her passion about horses with other children and help them to know that if they too believe in their dreams they can achieve anything. Photographer: Jacqueline Crombie Stonas Jacqueline Crombie Stonas has had a passion for capturing the essence of babies and children through photography since college. She is a professional photographer who has taken family and children’s portraits worldwide. Jacqueline has taken pictures of Olivia and her pony for a couple of years and this compilation represents the portrayal of the love between Olivia and her Pony.
