The Adventures of Little Mousey is a bedtime story for children about a country mouse and his many brothers and sisters.

About the Author

Catherine Santamera was born and raised and lives today in the City of Liverpool England. She is one of twelve children of Spanish/Irish descent. Paternal Grandmother born Barcelona Spain. Paternal Grandfather born Siguenza Spain near to which is an ancient pueblo called Santamera. Maternal Grandparents from Sligo Ireland. A country famous for good storytelling. Catherine is a retired teacher of children with special needs. Storytelling at bedtime was always an important part of her childhood. Bedtime of course must have been a welcome relief for her parents surrounded by so many often mischievous children. Despite both parents working hard there was always time for bedtime stories and prayers. The older siblings would often be given the job of saying prayers and telling bedtime stories. The character Belinda Spider is from stories her beloved Aunt Adela Santamera would tell her and her brothers and sisters at bedtime when they were very young. The inspiration for the Adventures of Little Mousey came from telling bedtime stories to her granddaughter Lily who once owned a pet mouse. Telling Lily stories about the things her little mouse might get up to while she was at nursery school developed into the Adventures of Little Mousey. Of which the author promises there are more to follow.
