About the Author

Alex Marciano is a middle school teacher, artist and photographer. His creativity comes from growing up in a small town on the Erie Canal in New York and a closeness to nature. Marciano’s inspiration for Paolo’s Favorite Places In Italy comes from his first trip to Italy and a small bird who seemed to follow him around Rome! This bird, Paolo, is very much like his creator with his love for learning and teaching, nature, travel and history!
