A Winter's Dream
Upon the Winter season, I see falling snow flakes
And within my grasp, a dream I begin to take
As I started to dream snow began falling
Touching the ground, touching the tip of my nose
Letting me know it was beginning to get cold
I dreamt of seeing the snowflakes dancing on the sparkling ice
I dreamt of hearing nature's sweet song, sounding oh so nice
The sun was shining adding a shimmer to the frozen lake
Seeing nature's wonders right before my eyes was no fake
Being there let me know I was in another land which had no price
The wind started to blow and the leaves began to dance
Swishing and swaying in their own little prance
I started to join in when I was awaken by an unusual sound
Realizing I was not in my bed but on the ground
Surrounded by friends, who were all around
To my amazement, I sprung in surprise
All in ahh and watery eyed
For I was not free to roam like the leaves of green
For all it was, was a winter's dream

About the Author
T.Channi is a freelance poetry writer raised both in Maryland and Texas. She started writing when she was in middle school. During her high school years she wrote poetry for friends, family and for church presentations, as well as, her first short story. She resides in Maryland with her fiancé and mother. This is her first poetry book.
